Samedi 4 décembre, l’association France-Etats-Unis a préparé un jour plein d’évènements pour les étudiants dans la région, nous deux qui habitons à Carpentras (Maria et moi), mon amie Mary, et quatre étudiants de l’IAU à Avignon.
Steve et Florence nous ont rencontrés à Terradou et on a pris une photo pour le journal « La Provence » avant d’aller à Moulin à Huile (Saint-Hippolyte le Graveyron), où nous avons vu la production de l’huile d’olive ! Le propriétaire était sympa, et il nous a tout expliqué . Une des choses que nous avons apprises était qu’il faut à peu près 5 kilo d’olives pour faire un litre de l’huile d’olive. C’est beaucoup d’olives !

On Saturday, December 4, the France-Etats Unis association planned a full day of events for students in the area, which included the two of us in Carpentras (Maria and me), my friend Mary, and four students from the IAU in Avignon.
Steve and Florence met us at the bus station in Carpentras and we took a picture for the paper « La Provence » before heading to Moulin à Huile in Saint Hippolyte le Graveyron, where we saw olive oil being made! The owner was really nice, and explained everything to us. One of the things we learned was that it usually takes about 5 kilos of olives to make one liter of olive oil. That’s a lot of olives!
